Electrical power storage devices offer a fascinating range of possible applications. They are mobile and can either provide power or be charged as required. Batteries are therefore not only a fundamental part of mobile phones and laptops but also serve as an alternative or a supportive source of energy for cars, railways, and even ships.
The possible applications for batteries are varied - just like the test requirements. Batteries must be able to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations, humidity, and salt as well as vibrations and knocks and not be influenced by or themselves be the cause of electromagnetic interference. Batteries are tested according to these requirements under controlled conditions in the Phoenix Testlab battery laboratory.
Our test engineers have devoted themselves to this interesting and sophisticated technology since 2005 and by opening the battery test laboratory, Phoenix Testlab has established one of the most important and technologically advanced centers of excellence in this field. With the focus on lithium-ion technology, batteries are tested for performance and stability under predefined environmental conditions.
