2016
Phoenix Testlab is recognized as a Notified Body according to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) in the sectors radio- and telecommunication equipment.
2015
Phoenix Testlab founds subsidiary in Taiwan.
The PHOENIX TESTLAB Taiwan Ltd., led by Dr. Alan Lane, starts their business in July 2015.
The number of employees rises to over 150.
2012
Addition of the battery test laboratory.
Expansion of the electrical device safety laboratory.
The number of employees rises to over 130.
2011
In the spring, PHOENIX TESTLAB opens one of the most modern laboratories for testing lithium-ion batteries and modules covering an area of approximately 950 square meters.
Opening of our representative office in Kunshan, China.
The number of employees rises to 116 and 3 trainees.
2008
The number of employees rises to 82 and 2 trainees.
2007
The environmental simulation laboratory is extended by 950 square meters. The number of employees rises to 72 and 3 trainees.
2006
Certification as Registered Certification Body (RCB) for the Japanese MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) for radio devices.
The number of employees rises to 64 and 2 trainees.
2005
Recognition of the EMC laboratory for tests on car components by Daimler Chrysler.
The number of employees rises to 55 and 2 trainees.
2004
Certification of the quality and environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.
New logo and new branding.
The environmental simulation laboratory starts operating in its new building. The number of employees rises to 52 and one trainee.
2003
Dr. Frank Eisert takes over as the new sole shareholder of Phoenix Test-Lab GmbH.
In July 2003, the EMC laboratory is listed with Industry Canada. The third new building, covering an area of 1300 m², is completed for the expansion of the environmental simulation laboratory. The number of employees rises to 44.
2002
In February 2002, Phoenix Test-Lab receives accreditation as a test laboratory for INTERBUS conformance testing.
Recognized by the Bundesamt für Seeschiffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH, Federal Maritime Shipping and Hydrography Authority).
Accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Accreditation according to the Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program for General Motors and FORD.
2001
Recognition as Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) and CAB EMC for the USA by BMWA.
Expansion of the business site by 1700 m².
1999
Accreditation of the safety and environmental simulation laboratory.
Recognition by the Eisenbahn Bundesamt (EBA, Federal Rail Transport Authority) as a testing institute for tests on rail vehicles.
1998
Company starts trading as Phoenix Test-Lab GmbH.
Accreditation of the radio test laboratory.
Recognition as a notified body for radio systems and telecommunications terminal equipment according to the Telecommunikations Zulassungsverordnung TKZulV - the future R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC.
1997
Listing of the EMC laboratory for FCC for Part 15 and 18.
The second new building, covering an area of 900 m², is completed. This extends the EMC laboratory and creates a test laboratory for environmental simulation and device safety tests, as well as a radio test laboratory.
Recognition by the Kraftfahrt Bundesamt (KBA, Federal Motor Transport Authority) as a “technical service”.
The number of employees rises to 12.
1995
Accreditation as a competent body for the EMC Directive 89/336/EC.
1994
Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG establishes Phoenix EMV-Test GmbH as an independent company for EMC testing.
Accreditation as an EMC laboratory and start of operation with four employees.
