Working at Phoenix Testlab - welcome to the team!

Phoenix Testlab is an independent and accredited test laboratory and certification institute for products, systems, and components from various sectors of industry with a large number of test disciplines.

We see ourselves as a technical service provider, supporting our customers from development to market launch of a product with project management and testing. As an integrated test laboratory, we are one of the market leaders in Germany. Separate branches in China and Taiwan complete our international profile.

Phoenix Testlab offers a wide range of test procedures from the fields of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), environmental simulation, electrical device safety, and radio.

Our business focuses on employee and customer satisfaction.

Working in the test laboratory

The work performed in the lab is as diverse as our customers. It is precisely this diversity that makes testing so interesting: prototypes are tested according to different requirements using state-of-the-art test equipment.

Our employees in the lab are therefore always up-to-date on the latest technology and are able to demonstrate their creativity and planning skills when implementing test requirements.

Discretion and an enthusiasm for technology and especially electronics are therefore essential requirements for this demanding job - as well as the willingness to complete ongoing further training.

Our customers expect an expert service for both consultation and the implementation of their tests - this often also requires intensive coordination between the relevant test engineers and the customer. When selecting our employees, we therefore look for not only specialist expertise, but also an excellent service mentality and customer focus.

Examples of people suitable for work in our test laboratories include:

  • Graduates in the fields of electrical engineering, machine building, and physics
  • Comparable study courses with a technical background
  • Mechatronics technicians, electronics engineers, IT systems technicians, etc.
Working in sales

Our customers expect expertise and first class service. Friendliness and customer focus are therefore just as important as an in-depth knowledge of specific products and test requirements.

Customer support staff are always at the heart of a project. They are the first point of contact for our customers, they inform on the selection of appropriate tests, draw up quotes, discuss projects with the laboratories, and actively develop customer contact.

As well as providing first class support for existing customers, our customer support staff also actively develop new potential customers - sometimes even overseas. English is therefore essential, and knowledge of other languages is also an advantage.

Examples of people suitable for work in our sales department include:

Working in certification

Our experts in the certification department implement and coordinate the global approval and certification process for electrical devices and systems (with a focus on the international approval of radio applications), from the customer enquiry right up to the award of a certificate. This includes checking
certification enquiries globally, researching international standards,
compiling test documentation, and drawing up quotes. As a competent contact person, you advise our customers and share your expert knowledge both internally and externally in seminars.

Examples of people suitable for work in our certification department include:

  • Graduates in the fields of electrical engineering or comparable study courses with a technical background, preferably with an international focus.
